We've got a cabin on Bone Lake near Luck, WI - we're going ice fishing for the first time this weekend and I'd like to up the chance of my 8 year old catching a couple of pan fish . I don't know where on the lake we'd have the best luck is anyone familiar with the lake and could advise me to go to a certain spot or have general advice for two newbies.

I do not know that lake by name but to start dark day dark bait bright day bright bait. Dark color water Orange on clear water chartruse green and white. go with rat finkies green and or white for gills which will usually hammer the bait tip ed with wax worms. A sensitive rod or a spring bobber is a must to detect lite bites from pan fish. Hop this helps.

Sorry haven't been on for a while.  Don't know where you are located on the lake but if you go to the north end you will see quite a few guys out up there.  Go where they are congregating and you will more than likely pick up some nice perch.  South end isn't bad either but they seem to catch more up on the north end towards the west shore line if I remember correctly.  Hope this helps and I'm sure someone will correct my directions :D
