IL ice
« on: Dec 20, 2007, 06:58 PM »
Got word yesterday that a few guys were icefishing Indian Lake at Long Island. A friend was supposed to fish it today and I'm waiting on word from him to see if he fished today. Ice was reported 3.5" at Long Island. If so I will be out tomorrow. I'll let you know. Either way after this weekend it looks good for ice production for the next 10 days.

We should be icefishing Indian Lake tomorrow. Heard that Long Island, Balckhawk and Dunns Pond has ice. I'm trying to verify this with a local.

WENT TO INDIAN LAKE ON SATURDAY. WE FISHED LONG ISLAND FROM 7:00 TO 4:00, BROUGHT HOME ABOUT 20 KEEPER BLUEGILLS AND 2 CRAPPIE. THE ICE WAS APPROX 31/2". THE SNOW HAD MELTED FROM THE RAIN WE HAD OFF AND ON THRU THE DAY. DONT KNOW IF THEY WILL BE FISHING ON SUNDAY. MIKES BAIT SHOP IS OPEN, HAVING PHONE PROBLEMS. GOOD LUCK

Where at on the North end? Thers lots of public parking at Blackhawk. Also at Long Island theres some parking along the road (at least for now).
