Lake Gardner
« on: Jan 08, 2008, 11:21 AM »
Went out for the evening bite on lake Gardner just over the border in Amesbury Ma. set 3 tip ups and sat down to cook some hot dogs. Well i burnt the weenies because the flags kept poppin! Also broke out the sweedish pimple and jigged up some nice jack perch. Nice lake no pressure.

I have not fished on clarks but i remember skating back there a long time ago. We used to fish the pond across from CVS in amesbury and get some nice bass. I am looking forward to the counrty pond derby, it was a lot of fun last year.

the country pond derby was alot of fun, but it wasn't warm.....it was one of the coldest days last winter........sunny skies, cold wind and temps......we pulled into our spot a 4 am and a group of guys were already set up.......the had about 45 to 50 traps set up and dominated the whole cove.......they drilled there holes the day before and set up in the morning.......they had there traps soaking 3 hours prior to the tourney.......i personally do not think that was fair....i told the guy i am popping hole where ever i could find a spot.......i wait just like everyone else......however, i dreamed up the same scheme once as well, but never pulled the trigger
when chuck norris played golf for money, chuck marked down a hole in zero every time, the golf pro said, "chuck: you can't score zero on a hole." Chuck norris turned towards the man and said, "I'm chuck norris, the man proceeded to pour gas over his body and set himself on fire because that would be less painful than getting roundhouse kicked by chuck norris....chuck norris roundhouse kicked him in the face anyways

How come you can get access for a ice fishing tournament but you can't get access to fish in open water. I hope money isn't the reason.

You can get access. It's just limited. You can't park near the ramp. You put your boat in and park up the street. I have a cottage on the lake  right beside Camp Tasker. I also used to fish that derby, got to crowded. I won it in 1990. Got an auger.
NOT ANYMORE.......AS OF LAST YEAR IT IS A 50 DOLLAR FINE FOR ANY NON RESIDENT OF NEWTON. HOW DO I KNOW?........BECAUSE I HAVE RECEIVED TWO TICKETS THIS YEAR.......I TEACH IN NEWTON AND SEE THE CHEIF ATLEAST ONCE A WEEK AND HE TOLD ME THAT THE PARKED BOATS ARE DANGERING THE TRAFFIC THAT GOES THROUGH THERE........THE ASSOCIATION OF NEWTON ALSO WANTS TO LIMIT THE BOAT TRAFFIC.........THERE IS 3 PARKING SPOTS AT BEST.......WHEN ITS FULL.......IT FULL....I TRIED PULLING A FAST ONE BY RECEIVING A STICKER FROM A PARENT THAT LIVES IN NEWTON AND THEY RAN MY PLATE AND FOUND OUT I LIVED IN SANDOWN.......I EVEN KNOW A RESIDENT OF NEWTON THAT WENT TO THE TOWN DUMP AND FOUND THE POLICE STATIONED THERE CHECKING STICKERS........ONE OLD MAN LIVED IN THAT TOWN FOR 30 YEARS AND DIDN'T HAVE A STICKER ON HIS NEW VEHICLE YET AND THEY WOULDN'T LET HIM DUMP HIS TRASH.......THE WAY I SEE IT THEY CAN HAVE THEIR BODY OF WATER.......BUT I FEEL BAD FOR THE DADS WHO HAVE KIDS THAT LIVE NEAR BY THAT CAN'T GO FISHING THERE....ONE STUDENT WHO LIVES RIGHT UP THE ROAD FROM THE LAUNCH.......WHICH IS TECHNICALLY KINGSTON.......TOLD ME THAT MY DAD CAN'T BRING ME FISHING THERE ANYMORE, BECAUSE THERE IS NO PLACE TO PARK OUR BOAT TRAILER.........I HAVE HEARD RUMORS OF NEW BOAT LAUNCH BEING PUT IN ON THE BEACH SIDE, BUT I HIGHLY DOUBT IT.....
