Yea, here in SE Mass today; the light bulbs weren't too bright either.  The ice was 4" of CRAP, and ATV's buzzing across.  We left before we had to rescue one of those idiots.  We actually watched 2 skaters skate up to open water and break through.  Only chest deep but wow, people really ARE stupid! ::)

I don't want to see this happen, but what it's going to come to is a special state sponsored school to be allowed  on the ice. Kind of like a hunter safety course or a trapping course required to keep these idiots off the ice unless they have some kind of formal training. Good idea in one way (idiots like this give all of us a bad image), but bad in a way because we will end up with more regulations because of simple stupidity.

Until some people have a moment of enlightenment in the form of ice-water up to their eye-sockets they will never give the ice its due respect. Hearing about or even seeing someone else experience a mistake like this doesn't seem to matter much either. I have come to the realization that some people just have heads containing a material similar to Pinocchio's.

I believe this is something that could really happen in our "nanny" society.

That is just proof my friends that there is a shallow end in the gene pool
I'm not getting skunked, I'm just eliminating water
