Hey Guys,

I talked with Doug today. All is well, he has some equipment rented and is working hard to finish a home project and will be back on line in a few days to do the final tally and notify the winners.

Those who had iceshanty rods not make their destination let me or Doug know and we'll send out another. Doug will be setup soon to add the ten year logo to some more rods and will get them shipped out asap.

hey no worries fisherman do have the most patience out of anyone, and its not like the prizes will be used untill next season anyways

We still have a few weeks left also. This year the ice seems to be hanging on a bit longer.

Hi everyone ... sorry I'm so late. I've been working 12-16 hours a day .. 7 days a week and I've been swamped. I should be back to finalizing the tourney in the next two weeks. Thanks for your patience.

glad to see you back lonewolf!!! and no problem, im considering it training for the long hours of sitting in a treestand and sitting on a bucket doing nothing. The more patient i am the longer i can do it and the more fish i can catch. so thanx for the training coach!!

I apologize for not being able to end this years tourney and for holding everything up .. I owe an explanation.
I closed (sold) my house during the last month of the tourney and had to store most of my belongings as we had to rent an apartment. I then closed on my new house in March and there was alot of prep work as well as moving our belongings in .. we're still going thru boxes. There was work, house prep, being a father and husband all at the same time. During this period my back went out and delayed things even longer. I just found out today I now need surgery on my left knee .. it's never ending.
Anyway the first five tourneys I started and ran went pretty smoothly and shall again this coming season.
I will be getting the last of the weekly drawing prizes out this week and will notify via PM. IceShanty will be notifying sponsors to start shipping prizes this week as well. The rods will be "at least" a month.

Lonewolf, no need to explain what is going on in your personal life. The great guys and girls of Iceshanty are an understanding bunch of people. We all figured that there was something going on that needed your attention a little more than the tournament. The only people that were complaining were the ones that are mostly new to the site and don't realize how close we all are here. I hope that I speak for most of the Iceshanty members when I say WELCOME BACK!!! I hope the knee is going to be ok.

Welcome back Lonewolf!! Sounds like you had quite the spring and early summer! Looking forward to next year's tourney. I just like seeing the beautiful fish that are entered and, if I'm lucky, enter a fish myself. Only had one entry this year that was "worthy". Hope the knee doesn't impair your ability to get on the hard water.

Everyone knows that taking care of your family comes before anything else. Enjoy your new house and get that knee taken care of asap so it rehabs before iceseason starts. We all appreciate all the time and effort you donate to this site to help make it what it is. Look forward to next years tourney.

Congrats on the new digs and even selling the old one.

The knee thing is no big deal these days. You have to relax for 3 or 4 days and stay off it after surgery.... Had both of mine done 2X each and I don't consider myself to have bad knees.... Just an active lifestyle.

Plan on doing the upcoming tourney for the first time this upcoming season.. You do a great job on it.
