Lord,
On this Thanksgiving we have lots to be thankful for, family and friends, and of course Ice Shanty!
May you grant me and all the members of Ice Shanty, nothing but safe ice, warm shantys, good friends, awe in nature, but most importantly.... many flags and screamin' reels!

Amen to that MDB,
Just finished helping the wife get the turkeys ready for tomorrow, cooking two, injected one with a marinade - new experiment - hope it comes out well.

One year we decided to use the turkey fryer to cook our turkey. I was the cook and take all the blame. It said to cook for twenty minutes at 175 degrees. When I hauled it out the first time it looked kinda slimmy, so I put it in for another twenty. When it came out that time it was a dark brown and I know you could of shot it though the house and not broken the skin. Needless to say we had beans instead of turkey that year and my family will never let me live it down. It looked like a Mummy Turkey.
