Long Lake Area
« on: Sep 18, 2007, 07:14 PM »
Any recommendations on some cheap hotel/motel in the long lake area. I want to hit lake Eaton for early ice this year. Does anyone want or know anybody who wants to rent out a house for a 3 day weekend? At this point I am trying to see what my options are. I will most likely be me my bro and my dad...pretty calm crowd. Eitherway I made a similar post on MFF and didn't get much of a response.....wont be long now..

Thanks ADKROY, I think I've been in the adk hotel, I think that is the on across the street from public beach. Never stayed there but I have eaten there. Not bad. Have you stayed anywhere up in Long Lake before?

Never stayed there but have had some great meals at the adk hotel. Also Hoss's country store is a great place to shop.

When we fish Eaton we stay in Tupper Lake! There's a few good motels there, and they are cheap in the winter.

I was looking into small cabins up in that area and found one on blue mountain lake. Whats the story on Blue Mtn lake for early ice brookie and ll salmon Lookrd at the contour map....seems like there ,many deep holes, scattered throughout that lake. Are there better spot on that lake..is it worththe time for brookies ???

have not actually ice fished bml but have been told that there are a decent number of landlocks in there, however you cannot technically fish for them as they are out of season. you have to be "fishing for lakers" or brookies i guess. you can fish for brookies but i haven't heard of many being pulled out of there.
