Cool, I wanna win something this year,  all I could catch last year was 4-6" perch.  I switched to 4" minnow and they were still hitting it.  Need to do a little more research on the lake.

My only hope is that I can throw a couple of jigs on the scale.  Because zero fish weight nothing. I am looking to fish this just to meet the people and have fun. I did catch some nice gills on Spirit in March.  They were bigger than anything we see down here.  It would be nice to have them show up for the tournament.

Hey you Iowa people!!  Any ice out there yet??  Thought I'd stick something in the Iowa section as its a little slow out there.  Give a report of the first sighted skim Ice you see pond or lake.  I just got the itch.

Hey Oldbear.  Man, I'm getting the itch too.  I've been out in the boat marking spots on the gps.  I hope it pays off.  Good fishing!

I marked one of my brush piles at a local lake with a 20lb navy anchor and about 13' of anchor rope.  Should of put a buoy on it so I could find it this winter. Lost an anchor and a wheel bearing on the trailer this week.

Hey walleyes4U, do you ever ice fish Sweets?  Used to years ago and did real well.  Never hear of any reports from there anymore.

Yes, we fish it. Early ice is usually the best time. There is one spot that the dike broke a few years back and it washed a deep hole in that spot. The crappie's head for that area at first ice.

Beeds is a good little lake.  We've had several small group get togethers there.  Don't see where your from but probably close to it.  I'll keep you in mind when I head up there.
