Just got a new hand auger

just got a new 8" mora. Im surprised at how easy it cuts or maybe its because my arms are so jacked from using the ht hand auger for a couple weeks. great deal too i returned the ht at my local walmart used and not even bought there and paid ten bucks to get the strikemaster.

A feather would be an upgrade over a HT auger...lol.

Moras are good augers, treat it well, and it will do the same for you.

I have the mora strikemaster 8" and I love it. It has been in my arsenal for three years now and never needed sharpening yet. well 2 years because this year don't count YET.

i bought one after Christmas and it wont cut at all. this is first time i have heard anything wrong with  them. all i hear is good things about them and i get the one that wont cut

i had a couple moras, they gave out quick....have a 8" lazer and a 6" ht lightning now...they are both fast and reliable.

synergyboy- maybe the blade is on backwards! Check that, ive heard of this happening twice!

nope they are deff not on backwards. the only thing that i cant think of by looking at it, is that its not touching enough of the ice.

Hmm. Not sure. Strikemaster does have a warrenty. Try contacting them.

I have 3 hand augers two mora and one lazer, the lazer cuts good and the moras won't cut for beans. I never use any of them. Hand augering any amount of ice waists way to much time. Jiffy all the way! I go out to fish not exersize!

 thanks lake snake,  im about results not name brands. If it gets me through 30'' of ice and starts when its cold, I could care less who made it.

i bought a pare of new blades this year and they wouldn't cut at all so i took them and got a new pare and they work fine don't know why the other pare wouldn't cut and i know they were on right.

i just returned 2 lazer hand augers. right out of the box and they didn't cut at all. they just bound up on every turn. they sent me blades too and it still bound up. i bought a power auger. my blue mora worked alot better.
