two big pike caught by frankenshiner and masspike

frankenshiner and i went in search of open water today ....hopkinton to fish for salmon by the dam  it will be ready this weekend after the heavy rains anyways.we went down to a pike hot spot by us that never freezes over we each 1 pike each minne weighed 12lbs 4oz  and his wieghed 14lbs 6oz these fish were caught in the shallows in OPEN WATER the pike must be getting ready for spawing...... sorry i have no pics we werent planing on catching anything just went to WET OUR LINES...WILL BRING CAMERA NEXT TIME....THIS PLACE IS NOT ON MASSWILDLIFE I LEARNED ABOUT IT FROM MY TAXODERMIST

Mine was more like 15lbs. To bad we cant share info on fishing spots on this fishing  web board. I'll give a hint (my last one)Dark Rock. It's a good fishing spot that should be shared with other fisherman on this fishing web board dedicated to fishing and fishing spots. Maybe someday we'll share fishing spots and help each other out on how to get on the fish. This will be my last post on Ice Shanty, so I hope you guys get many big fish and  have happy healthy lives. And The kids too of course.

You can post the hotspots yourself, but posting a hotspot in somebody else's thread when they said in their post that they didnt want that spot to be known, is againts forum rules.

I hope they weren't River Herring..  you can only use those for Stripers in Mashpee in the spring

are you guys being silly.Yuo  cant use river herring anywhere I saw a guy get taken away last year in ct river in mass They took him and his boat.you can use sea herring

but they work great for Sturgeon!!!!
