I cant tell you where i caught it, because its so hard to find a spot to catch these big ones today!
I can tell you that i got it at 10:00AM, on a very big live shiner in about 6 feet of very weedy water.

There was about 2 feet of snow that day.  It was right after the big storm.  It took us about an hour to get our tip-ups in becuase it was so slushy underneath the snow.  After you drill a hole, the water comes up and floods that area with about 6" of water!

hey tiger musky, maybe "show off my fish" isnt the best way say it??? if this really is a secret pond that doesnt get fished than ok, but this is a site to "share" info including pics.i personally post all locations and info whether i do well or not. anyway, whats up with the tiger musky thing...do you fish them through the ice? i really want to get them thruogh the ice, but it doesnt seem to happen. last year i stared one in the face with the aqua view, he swam right up to it and sat there for like 2 min. i know they catch 'em on otisco but i have never been there.

Nice fish tiger.  A true fisherman always catches and releases, and they never give away their secret spots.  Kudos

??? Why do I have to "Always catch and release" to be a true fisherman?  A true fisherman utilizes what he or she catches, obeys the laws and doesn't leave trash behind .....and they never give away their secret spots....nice pike if you like those slimy, toothy things,   :D.

nobody has to ALWAYS CATCH AND RELEASE but it is my choice.  if you like to eat fish, i see nothing wrong with taking a few home, or one monster for the wall.  but to keep all the fish one catches would be dumb.  remember, those fish that are caught and released, live another day to grow bigger, for someone else to catch, or me to catch again ;D  everyone has their own choice.  just my 2 cents.  good luck to  EVERYONE.

There are limits set for what an angler can keep as far as size and species. If everyone threw back their catch, then there would be an over abundance of stunted fish, predator and prey type alike. To keep all your fish that you are entitled to by law, is by NO MEANS DUMB!
Some of us subsidize our grocery bills with the meat we catch and keep. I personaly enjoy the delicacy of fresh water fish, and cannot keep enough. I follow the law. I do not spend money on equipment, bait, travel expenses and other needed amenities to just throw back my fish.
It is rather arrogant to call someone DUMB, for keeping wha :tipup:t they are allowed to, and what they worked so hard to obtain.
If a fish population in a certain body of water is in jeopardy of over fishing, or year class ebbing, then the DNR's or management divisions have many options on the table to employ like slot limits, size restrictions and season adjustments to manage the species needs.
There is more catch and release now than ever before. So for those that keep legally what they catch, kudos to you! For those that catch and release, I applaud you too. But neither of you is any better than the other! Only those that call the other side DUMB, have issues to reconcile with as far as personality flaws are concerned.
