we also fished off crane creek today and yesterday 6 guys both days. we limited both days. the fish were a little tougher to find for us today but once we found them we limited out fast. ice was still good but be careful on the main trail about 1 mile out where the shove ice is. there is a spot where it looked like a machine or 2 broke through. open water about the size of a kitchen table. not sure if there was any ice left underneith or not.

At the end of the day however, There are hidden holes out there now. The surface ice is very degraded and punky. There are huge ruts on the main trails. There is a large hole, perhaps 15 feet long and 10 feet wide, right on the main trail, about a quarter mile out. I would not advise fishing this area to anyone. Unless you have an air boat...please, stay off! The fish will be there to catch from a boat after ice out...which will be soon.

Be safe my friends!

falbinki - your right! a wheeler did break through off the main trail by the crack Wed evening. I was right behind him as the bike dippied down. I went to the left of him and also felt my right wheel break through! Others behind us were directed to cross it elsewhere.
Some men fish real hard but only "real men" fish hardwater!
