Vexilar S-cable

I have an idea what the S-cable does but is it really worth it? I predominately fish 5-15 ft. of water. Any help would be appreciated!

which vex do you have? the 8 or the 18. If you have the 8 i would get it. but the 18 has the auto zoom so that is pretty much what it wouold do.

Gillmaniac: I have the 8-SE pro pack. I mostly fish Wilhelm at the stumps, and Shenango at GR. My average depth is more like 7-10 feet.   Thanks for the reply.

If you fish a lot of weeds and/or depths of 10 feet or less, the S-cable is a "must have" IMO. Otherwise the screen will light up like a Christmas tree and you'll be forced to turn the gain down so low that you might not be able to pick up your lure on it.

i agree with dizzy, you must have it if your in weeds less than 15 foot. I have the 8 SE and it works good in the weeds untill i go to about 10 foot. Then it lites up like a chritmas tree.
