First have a big towel with you when you go ice fishing!When you get the fish smack it between the eyes to kill it don't crush his head just kill him.DONT lay him on the ice the scales will freeze to the ice and come of thats BAD! and the fins will crack and break.Get the towel real wet and wrap the fish in the towel .Wrap it up tight.Let it freeze bring it home and put it in the freezer or bring it to a tax.If the fish has a full belly it is full of ACID to and it will eat the fish from the in side out even when frozen and it will eat the outer belly up and screw it up.1-2 years in the freeze like this its OVER! empty belly 1-3 years is OK.
