You guys are buying into it as actually happening? What type of person would conceive of this presentation? Maybe a homeless person that couldn't afford a rod and reel. Or, someone that  doesn't feel pain. That can stick their hand and arm down into sub freezing water for an extended period of time. No wonder so many scam artist are successful. If you really want to give the fish an enticing presentation take someone fishing with you that has Parkinsons. They will be able to give the bait some great movement.
