Any Luck on Saratoga Lake?
« on: Feb 12, 2007, 02:46 PM »
Friend and I went out on Saratoga Lake, last Wednesday with not much luck to be had. There was about 12 inches of ice, went out about 200 yards across from fitch road looking for some walleyes and pike. Not even a nibble. Was using pike shiners, and suckers (varing sizes and depths) NOTHING! If any body has had luck please share some helpfull tips with me. Thanks to all and good luck!

I fished saratoga lake today north of the boat launch.i had tremendous action from 6:30 til 11:30, 3 pike,3 pickerel,1 walleye,1bass, 4 perch.i was using medium shiners and icycles.all fish were caught on icycles.the pike and the pickerel were legal but all went back in.kept the perch and the walleye.i just had a real honeyhole as those around me were not as fortunate, though they did get flags.i set my tip-ups so they were 18"-24" off the bottom, using flourocarbon leaders-32lb.test.#10 treble hooks
