cuttin some holes
« on: Feb 04, 2007, 07:09 AM »
Fished nyona with jiggin joe on fri morning.  We both caught 1 keeper redear, and several 3-4in gills. After 3 hours we drove over to manitou and looked around and ate lunch.  We decided not to fish it, and drove back down to south mud lake.  We caught several dinks on south mud in 2 hours, and called it quits.  I think we could have had a more productive day if either of us knew anything about the lakes we were fishing, but it was our first time seeing any of those three lakes, and there wasn't many people on them.  Saturday we went over to summit, and it was a packed house.  We fished from 8:30 to 6pm, and both of us took home 25-30 gills after braving sub zero wind chills and what had to be 50mph gusts with complete white out conditions.  I'm probably going to stay close to indy today, but I have to get out for a little while before the game.GO COLTS!!!!!! ;D

Hey Brawler....can you give me any information on Geist such as where to fish and where to gain access?   I fish Geist regularly during the warm months but have never been out on the ice.

It is fairly close to home and wouldn't mind taking advantage of it over the next couple of weeks since I'm assuming the ice is safe or close.

Thanks,
Wade
