Where they hung the jerk who invented work
In the big rock candy mountains.

I have heard that sturgeon are very difficult to breed. The whole thing seems irrational. ???

A female Lake Sturgeon doesn't reach sexual maturity until it is 15-20 years old, and they only breed every four or six years after that! These things aren't like trout or walleyes they can spawn by the thousands!!! You would think the value of those fish would be worth the effort to quarantine them for a while and see what happens.

I would guess that it is one in a million odds those fish were diseased and someone is trying to cover their butt. What a filthy shame!

Your 100% right, in my opinion, Skipper!! Allot, of money and manpower, wasted or just plain covered up.

That is ridiculous! I definitely agree that they should have been quarinteened and tested. The person that ordered these fish killed should lose their job and have to reinburse the state for time and money wasted. But if that state is anything like Vt they are good at wasting taxpayers time and money.

The fishing is always great, the catching however, always isn't

Probably more rumour, than information! I've heard through the grapevine, 20,000 sturgeon and according to (maybe or not) staff members [ just *20,000* northen ]?

Come to find out the lake they took the Pike eggs from was Lake Puckaway.

Pike, from Lake Puckaway! Sturgeon, from the Wolf River! Granted, fish collected for dispersal, from the zone, for instate or out of state programs, shouldn't be shipped anywhere! Big question? Can't the fish go back, to the system of water, where they came from?  After all, the money and manpower invested. What would the infected fingerlings hurt? [ ( if any, maybe none or if/and most of them ) ] [[ Fancy laweyer talk. ]]  Into that system of water ?   V.H.S, is it here? Or, is it every where?

MUMS, the word, now.  Such, a waste of fish, manpower and money.
