Worth the $$ to upgrade?

I've had a vex FL-8 for a few years now, and I like the looks/features of the FL-20.  Is it worth the $ to upgrade?  I normally fish in 50 FOW for suspended crappies at about 40 FOW for burbot and lakers...will the FL-20 help me more?

Yes it would be to your advantage to get the FL 20.  The FL8 is good I had one and a friend bought it from me andd loves it. I have the FL 18 that I bought last year but would buy the 20 now.  I love the zoom which both have.  The FL 18 & FL 20  both Ultra both cost the same I really  can't figure that out.

If you found them both costing the same, say <420.00, which is the cost of the 20 here, the 18 is high 3s, you should nab up the 20 and take the discounted price before someone catches on.

I only priced them out at two places, Cabala's and Jay"s both in Michigan.  They cost $499.99 at both places.  The $420 is a good price if it's the  FL 20 Ultra.

I'd say upgrading to the FL-20 is worth it. I just got mine and used it on the ice last week. It's a great unit. And if yuo have someone sitting close to you then can see it as well becasue of the new screen design. ALso if you have someone else near you fishing with another vex is has an interferance rejection setting to help stop the transducers from picking up other signals. And you only need to have the IR selected on one unit.
