You've got to be kidding. That looks cool in theory, but it also looks heavier than sh!t. I don't trust the sitting planks that fold out. It's all made out of wood and with 4 square sides it won't slide on anything but glare ice. Plus they're not giving those things away. That's expensive. For the price you can get a good Otter or Clam 3-4 person pull-over. Red eyes, you're better off with the Cabela's kit. For 100 bucks you can see if you like a portable. Then upgrade next season.

I gotta agree with CityFishin...according to the specs that sucker weighs over 100 pounds! Add a bait bucket, auger, gear, scoop, beer, etc and you'll need a foot of ice before you can go out. If it's a pain in the butt to pull, you'll never use it. The Cabela's will work fine or get a Shappell 2000 and see how you do.

I agree it looks very heavy. I also wouldn't trust the bench setup. It also looks like it might be a bit tippy if you do not have it balanced with anglers on each side. It looks a bit too cramped for my taste.

I have seen fiberglass tub shacks that use this configuration that looked great but cost a bit of change. They are light due to the fiberglass construction and have built in runners.

I have a Clam junior and I would buy any other portable before this one.

If it's chore to move then you won't.  If you won't be moving then you won't be catching fish.  If you won't be catching fish??

Does not sound like a good combination to me.

I've seen a couple of these up at LOW. They drag them around with wheelers...... they don't take them too far off the beaten path.

Cabela's Tent Kit is a good starter house, my buddy got one a couple of years ago. He found out he needed a couple of extra stiffeners for the sides, after he took it to LOW.  ;D ;D

Thanks for your input, but as far a weight I think it's still lighter than a solid wood shack.
