Vexilar Tune up??
« on: Jan 23, 2007, 11:53 AM »
I was out fishing yesterday morning with a friend from work.  I noticed that his Vexilar puts out much brighter colors (red, green, orange) than mine does.  I had a brand new battery that I fully charged, so I know power supply wasn't the issue.  Is there anyway you can tune up a Vex to achieve the colors of a brand new Vex?

I don't think the old vexs used LEDs, thats why people put coffee cans and other manner of sun shades on them.

Bruce..you have a FL18, right?  Didn't you get it last year?  If so, it has LED's...I am surprised if they have dimmed.  If so, I would their customer service or product service and inquire...

I have the FL-8 SLT, I can see the colors, but was just surprised at how much brighter my coworker/friend's was.  Not sure how old it is, I have had it for 3 years now, I bought it off of ebay for a really low price in the fall back then from a guy who lived around the corner, so didn't even have to pay shipping.

I did buy one of those mag shields to prevent the snow from getting in there and melting, blocking my view at times.  However, once the sun came out it worked more like a mirror, all I could see was myself, thinking to myself, look at that sexy beast.
