Does an Otter sled float ??
« on: Jan 21, 2007, 02:39 AM »
Just wondering if anyone has checked out whether an otter sled will float if you broke through the ice. There are different sizes and I have the medium (about 60"). If so how high was the water to the top of the sled??

They float per se but depends on whats in them and how its distributed.  I've used them to lug stuff out to a duck blind but if they are loaded heavy on any side they will tip & take in water.  I wouln't coun't on the sled to save your stuff if you break through ice.  Just my $0.02.
