Chain-O-Lakes
« on: Jan 23, 2007, 10:28 PM »
Checked the ice conditions at chain-O-Lakes this past Sunday with A-Bomb.  Everything was about an inch maybe inch and a half.  Water level had dropped from all of the rain earlier in the week.  A lot of hanging ice on trees and bullrushes.  The cold forecast for the next 10 days should help things.  We might be on the narrows by next Saturday.

We ended up on channels at Wawasee.

Stay safe and pray for cold nights!!!
A bad day fishing beats a good day working!!! <///><

There is good ice on norman now. The fish wouldn't cooperate for me just follow the bait 3 or four feet then sink back down. I heard there were guys on dock having the same problem.

As you head into the park take your 1st right past the welcome shack. go to the   y and stay left (go rt to norman and the youth camp ground) the rd will turn  rt. you can prk  there and walk back the fire road. Caution as that takes you to the inlet side. most park along the rd and walk back. pack light as its up and down hills (steep). DO NOT take back a shantie ;D ;D as i got conned into taking one and it was a miserable death march!!!!

The water has recently dropped and the shore ice is hanging. It can be awesome at 1st ice. Usually it freezes early but the dropping water has held it up.
again guys on dock and norman.
Lack of planning on your part in NO way constitutes an EMERGENCY on mine
