Spot size on Pike
« on: Jan 18, 2007, 02:06 AM »
Last weekend we caught 2 pike the exact same length.  One had small spots, the other had longer spots.  What do the size of the spots mean?  Is it age or genes or what?

I have often wondered about the same thing. I searched around for an answer and all I could come up with was, Quote;[The pike's marking is like a finger print, each with different patterns.] Maybe someone reading this thread could solve this for us. By the way, those were nice plump pike that you caught and displayed. Mmm, Mmm good!
