big pond

hey everyone first of all i just want to wish everyone a merry christmas and say a prayer for our troops who are overseas right now........ i was just wondering if anyone has any info on how big pond in delaware county is down here its been it the 45 50's but big pond is usaually 10 to 15 degrees colder so maybe they have some ice forming.....any info would be great thanks

Ive been down that way and a very very small farm pond  about 50 ft by 100ft had 1 " of ice on it before the 1" of rain we got  so I doubt Big Pond is froze up enough

aghhhh that sucks ..... the forcast for up there doesnt look that bad for the upcomin week

Big Pond is pretty high in elevation. Maybe by the first week in January? It will probably be my first stop.

yes thats wut i figured it would have some ice becuase of its elevation...its usually 10 to 15 degrees colder from where im at (rockland county) sooo i figured it might have at least some ice.... ps if u stop there and there is at least 5 or more inches please let me know big is my favorite spot to ice fish but havent caught much there but when u do they are HUGE  :woot: lol thanks kayak   :tipup: :tipup:
