  • Ice fishing rules!
I caught the last 15 minutes of the show today, it was about ice fishing for pike in New England. I didn't catch the beginning of the show, so I don't know if they gave any hints about the locations that were fished. The part I saw was fun, saw some really nice fish landed. Had to laugh like heck when a guy caught his first pike, and tried to get the hook out of the fish's mouth using his fingers ------ of course the fish bit down!!!! Still making me laugh about it now....All he could do was wait for some help. Show is supposed to air again today (can I say that about cable??) on FLN at 12:30pm. I won't see it, will be watching my son out on the ice......at a local hockey rink.  GO HAWKS!!

I saw it both last sunday and this morning.  The first 15 minutes was about fishing for broodstock salmon on the stockbridge bowl in stockbridge.  The pike fishing was the hussatonic(sp) river it was on a little pond off the river.  i couldnt believe the idiot sticking his finger in the pikes mouth then he made the weirdest noise when he said ouch.  There were definately some nice pike that were caught on the show.  i told my buddy about it last weekend and i said that we were going to fish it this winter.

That place sucks for pike  ::)  man I've seen those people keeping fish last year too.  I told them about the PCBs and that they were keeping illegal fish and called the EPO's on them.  If you see stuff like that up there remember to report them!

I shot an episode with them last winter on Carmi in VT. We did pike and then walleye after dark... We had a decent night, it was odd with a full moon and clear ice we were catching pike well into the night. I had never seen that before :o Jay and the camera man got there late and missed the 2 biggest walleye we had

Bluefin... You mean this putz? ;D

Thanks man  :) We couldn't have asked for better weather that night... We just did another one last month, this time stripers on big baits. They got some great shots of 20-30 pound stripers blasting our baits on top ;D

You better find a new secret spot that place gets pounded every year and since it was on TV it's gotten even worse.
