Merry Christmas. To you and all the shanty members and their families. May all your rods be bent and lines be tight. And a happy new year! 🤪😁

Hope everyone had a good Christmas and got everything they wanted.  All I want is ice.  But unfortunately mam nature isn’t going to cooperate this year, outlook doesn’t look good.

Well, haven't talked about it yet, but on the 12th I went to check on my Dad, and he had passed away.  He's the one that started me fishing before I can remember, and probably why I commercial fished for a long time.  All the guys called him Dad or Pops, and our trips to Camp, Moosehead,  Rangeley, Russell,  the Allagash for hunting, will never be the same.  We worked together for the past 14 years, and I'm sure I will think of him every day.  Enjoy your families this holiday season

I'm sorry for your loss Darby. Makes me feel like I should check on my dad. Haven't spoken with him in 3 years. It's not a far drive. Sometimes stubbornness takes over and we forget what really matters. Again sorry for your loss.

Can't tell you how many times I heard customers on charter trips say "The captain saves the good spots for regulars"    I've never met a captain that doesn't take "catching" as a goal every single day on the water.  My daughter is off to college next fall, and I am considering getting back into the small charter business (6 guy or less) up here for haddock and Giants in the summer.  My wife said "It's been long enough, you must have forgotten the @#$%!🤣

Sorry for your loss.  My dad died when I was 10 on the 28th of December 1968. Be happy for the fact he is in your life and a big part of your life for so long.  You will think of him, and he lives on in your memories.

Sorry for your loss.  Tough one to take.  Sounds like you got to share tons of memories.
