Future of gas augers & LGB's
« on: Nov 28, 2022, 09:42 AM »
With California banning all small gas engines in 2024 & 1# lp cylinders shortly after, we all know how that's going to affect us, because that lead always gets followed
What's your plan for future hardwater outings when parts are overpriced to prevent fixing & your re-fill cylinders wear out ?

Good thing the old Mora requires no lp  ;D

I did do a drill setup a couple seasons ago, but I still use the hand auger more than the electric. 🤷‍♂️

Meh. I don't like it, but I doubt they will be successful with a 2024 complete ban. Maybe shops will slowly stop selling them in 2024, but I can't see a complete ban happening over night.  It will take years

Wonder what all the McMansion owners will say when all of a sudden their backup gas generator for their house is outlawed.

As far as ice fishing goes, I use all electric augers and re fillable 1#s. If there is opportunities to voice my opinion when laws hits the midwest I will,  But untill then I will keep having fun catching fish, I have bigger things to worry about.
