Ya Taxi this older coot saw a lot of snow days back in the day I graduated in 69. We dug out our lake road (Bear Lake) back in 67. Got about 18 inches and a lady across the lake was ready to go into labor so my dad who was scoutmaster got our Klondike sled we built and sledded her to St. rd109 and a waiting EMS. Then hand dug the road with about 50 guys from the lake. Fun times we were young ! Hex
im not seeing anything over 15mph winds. thats only the next ten days though.
I can remember when I lived in Mass. Heard the of the great NOREASTER, (thought what's this all about). Nothing compared to our LAKE EFFECT. LOL
Im right in the middle of the red zone......ft wayne station says 16"......got plow gassed and ready to go whenever shes done.....brings back old memories of the lizzard of 78"
just have to hook it up and I'm ready..bring on SNOWMAGEDDON 2022!!
When I lived out there from 68' to 71' I remember getting 2 feet one weekend (that storm slowed down to 10 mph) and NH got 3 feet, 18 inches the following weekend, and so on in decreasing amounts for about 4 weeks. I do laugh when they warn about drifting when most of their topography is heavily wooded. With our wide open fields I've seen bad drfiting with one inch of snow and high winds.
just rain on the east side so far. hope we dont loose too many in this natural disaster!!!!!
Even if it snows all the way into tomorrow as forecast, as small as these flakes are, I think we'll only end up with maybe 6-8" around here.
