Middle Saranac lake?

Hello,
Looking at trying middle Saranac lake in a few weeks and can’t find much information on this lake for ice fishing. Does anyone have any experience on middle Saranac lake? Or better off on upper or lower?
Not looking for anyones hot spots just general information for middle Saranac lake ice fishing.

Folks have walked out from the kayak launch in years passed. It is moving water so you have to be really careful.

There is a trail across from the ampersand mtn trailhead. like .50 + miles in. It is shallow and probably pretty good for pike. We have some really deep snow now with this storm i would not want to walk gear into there. Plenty more spots with way less of a walk in the area.

Both access points are a haul to the water, and from there an additional haul to where I've caught fish there in the summer. That said, it is great pike and smallmouth fishing IMHO. Under the right conditions, I wouldn't hesitate. But with lots of snow it's going to be a bear (pun intended).
