My friend had an Ice Runner his first year on the ice. They are very roomy inside.

The rear entrance is a blessing and a curse. It's nice to not have to step over holes/rods to get into the hut, but you then have to step over all the crap sitting in the sled.

The sled itself is VERY shallow, making it hard to pull with almost any amount of snow in the ice. I imagine it would be better if you had a smitty sled for it.

You can loan a bunch of stuff into the sled, but have to set up/open up the whole tent in order to get anything inside.

You have to have chairs of your own, since it does not come with any. I guess you could easily get really comfy chairs of your own choosing, but then you have to fit them inside the closed hut or have a smaller sled behind with extra things.

It would probably be a decent Darkhouse spearing hut, but I can't spear where I live, so I don't have firsthand experience on how the hut would work.

I'm sure I could ask my friend for more info if you have any specific questions.

primepin65..Does your friends Ice Runner have a wind break position ? I tote a small Jet Sled behind at all times with my flip overs ..store the unnecessary gear in that less clutter in my flip .

I've never had one, but thier Stalker spear house looks very similar to the old Ins-Tent external frame fish houses, and I had one of those for many years. It was a slick, extremely lightweight setup, but an absolute nightmare to setup solo in wind.

Not that I remember. I believe it was an "All or Nothing" type of flip over. He got rid of it after the first year because of the issues with towing it behind his 6x6 and it plowing snow. He had the Expedition size Ice Runner.
