It has ice.  Whole first section from boat launch by outlet locked up with fishermen on it. Main basin has open water on Wednesday but was frozen yesterday. Wouldn’t trust the new ice as it was only about 2”.
This snow will make it difficult to see the transition. Be extremely careful in this lake as there is a lot of current, dock bubblers at the shoreline, and variable ice conditions, depended if on where you go.
Didn’t check state park area, but I assumed I is frozen.
Fishing was slow there yesterday. A few perch.
If you can't play nice, get off the ice!

Fishon....

You stated that guys were fishing near the boat launch, but didn't check out the state park.

Isn't the boat launch at the state park?

Maybe there's another boat launch I'm not familiar with.

You might be right but I’ve never seen anyone fishing at that end. The East Aspetuck comes in there...always open water.

East aseptuck actually goes out of the lake at the launch for motor boats. The state park has no launch. It is a carry to drop in for kayaks etc.

People were not by launch but I do mark fish down there when trolling in summer. People were out in the middle of that arm of the lake.  That whole darm of the lake was locked up. Skaters were there as well as fishermen.   Access is very tricky on that end of the lake.

Pm me if you want more specific information.

What’s the deal with parking at Waramaug?? No pull-off-road parking like there has been for years.
Looks to me like ice access points of just 2 seasons  ago are long gone. :(

I haven't fished it in a while but was always able to park in lot across from beach area.
Even in years with bad snow there was always at least a few spaces plowed  out.

Yes. There is parking near outlet of lake. Also at state park on the other end.
