Stupid pressure

So I cancelled my trip for today due to the super low pressure that rolled in last night/today... as I've experienced in the past, low = slow.

I fished ahead of the storm on Friday just as the pressure was droppjng.. and caught 2 fish and had only a handful of flags all day.. some of the slowest and worst fishing of my life..

I'm starting to think this barometric pressure crap is just that... a bunch of crap.

ive caught fish in low presure and high, i say the fish are always bitting somewhere

I don’t really pay attention to the pressure, if I have a moment to get out I just go regardless.

I do have to say though today was one of the best days I’ve ever had on the ice. Went through about 3doz minnows today chasing flags.

tblaster if there is one thing for sure, it's that every rule can & will be broken.  Personnaly,  some of my best days have been as the pressure is on the way down.  Enough times that I will make every effort to be there just before & during a good snow or rain.  The problem is the fish don't live by our rules & I have been skunked on some of the "best days".  I've also had great days when they shouldn't bite at all like those Bluebird days. So just keep fishin when you have time to fish.    Good luck

I second this when your out almost daily pressure moon tide don't matter your bound to have slow days, yesterday I faired ok on lakers no big fish wanted to chew tho ill tell ya that

In the places that I fish, historically, the worse the weather the better the bite.

Not sure how true this is ..but I do recall the worst weather and fish catches seem to be the most memorable ...unlike uneventful trips ...but blue bird days seem to be the worst .

This.  Fish behave differently, doesn't mean they stop biting completely.

I agree with that. I have a fishing calendar where the best days to go fishing are in Blue. Yep, everyday on that calendar is in Blue.

I tried tracking pressure but there seems to be other factors that come into play as well. Hell I just go fishing and if I catch a bunch I do if I get skunked I get skunked but I got out and had fun trying anyways.
