COVID yet?
« on: Dec 02, 2020, 06:17 PM »
One in 800 North Dakotans have died from COVID. In Nebraska we're croaking left and right. Yet, no masking up. How are you feeling about it now, ten months in?

We have been masked and staying home the whole time. Our grandson lives with us and has been schooling on line. Now he is done with high school and has to take a three hour test on 12-8 with about 350 other seniors. Doesn't do much good to try to keep them safe when the school endangers them. No common sense anywhere and to make things worse our governor actually has no nads. She does nothing to try to control Covid.
It seems to go from zero to hero all some have to do is lie.

What can I offer.  North New Hampshire.  New England has accepted mask wearing and Covid  deaths are very low.
I don't intend to let my ego lead me to an early death.
I will defeat this virus even if I have to distance from other ice fishermen.

This is from a local medical doctor........
“Verified, the below is from Dr. John Krcmarik of Munson in Traverse City:

The strategy of continuing to “shut down” to combat a virus that is spreading through the community despite preventative measures is cruel and unnecessary with growing unintended consequences that will take a greater mental and physical health and economic toll now and life after Covid .

As an icu and lung doctor who takes care of these patients , I can’t stay silent anymore - I’m fed up with all the martyrdom I see coming from my hospital system as so many irresponsible posts are ringing the panic bell  for perhaps personal notoriety? Fear?

Consider the following

1. Overall case mortality is < 1% as testing increases and skews toward older and more immune compromised individuals - the young and healthy did not die with this - we need to stop shutting schools down in favor of targeted protection for individuals  at risk

2. Keeping the virus from going through the community is like trying to hold water in your hands indefinitely; I’m not surprised we’re seeing more cases as this is inevitable, and a good thing in the sense that the more individuals who get it and get over it, the greater the herd immunity which is real and superior to a vaccine they can only augment natural removal of the virus; we take what comes - be not afraid - nobody’s running out of protective equipment, ventilators etc - there are an increasing  number of people simply waiting to go home or extended care facilities that can’t for various  reasons, a reality that’s inflating our hospital numbers as more people are admitted and cared for

3. The Immune system is real and works for most people; trust it

4. Herd  immunity is real just like the virus

As a physician (like thousands of others) who feel ignored by current policy makers,   I have signed the Barrington declaration - a far more reasonable approach to dealing with the “case-demic “ than current policy lending to terrible realities that make the cure worse than the disease

As my wife quoted from Shawshank

“Get busy living or get busy dying “

Live your life. Stop worrying about things out of your control, like SICKNESS AND DEATH! Those are up to God. If God forbid you get  sick, offer that suffering up in union with Our Lord and His sufferings, and accept whatever He sends you!
We can’t keep hiding in our homes and putting coffee filters on our face forever.  There are 8 million NEW poor Americans as a result, NOT of the virus, but as a result of shutting down everything. Stop listening to the media, they are presstitutes! You think they care about your health, whilst they glowingly all embrace abortion and depopulation agendas! Use your God given rational mind and see what is truly going on here!

Herd immunity? With only one percent dying, we’ll only lose 3.3 million here in the U.S. I guess some are good with that, but I’ll continue to wear a mask, thanks.

I had it back in April... I didn't die, but it definitely sucks. I STILL have a nagging cough almost 8 months later, and always feel half-winded. Definitely better safe than sorry, imho.

99.7% survival buddy. Cdc revised numbers down to less than 20,000 that ACTUALLY died from covid and not some other Co morbidity! You’re not a doc not an epidemiologist. Stay in your lane, you wanna be scared go ahead, but don’t seek to violate 1st 4th 5th and 9th amendments of the constitution or natural law in regards to others! 1.5 million died from TB last year, were you wearing a mask then? TB is much more deadly and communicable than covid-1984. Bottom line is no one gets to strip natural law rights from people for any reason unless it is just. Stripping them with medical tyranny for a 99.7% survival rate bug is NOT JUSTICE!

You’re not a doc not an epidemiologist.

Neither are you.  If his opinion isn't valid on the topic then neither is yours.

 JohnJ1981-

so if sickness and death are "up to god" did he/she/they bring this pandemic upon us to wipe out all our elderly sinners while gun toting lunatics run amok?
