Small Berkshire ponds
« on: Feb 26, 2020, 01:15 PM »
Hit a couple small mountain ponds in the past week, not long outings, but fun anyways. Was able to pull up a 12" brookie and 16" rainbow on butterworms. Yesterday I targeted pickerel in the Savoy area. I was attempting to put out 4 traps and have one hole for jigging, but by the time I had three out the first one went up, followed by a second flag. Long story short it took me 20 min. and 7 caught fish before I got to jigging. While the size was general moderately small I was able to pull up 2 +20" pickerel and a super colored up perch.
