Ever seen this pic before? It is a pike caught from germany in the 80's. It is the largest northern pike verified in history. It was not able to be considered for a record because it wasn't caught on hook and line. Let's hear your guess on the weight!

If memory serves right around 67.1#. I started a post about pike records and was shown a sight. Fish was caught in 1983 in a net. Would be hard pressed to beat that FISH out!!!!!!!!!!!!

Knowing very little about fish weights, but comparing to my 11lb daughter, I'd say about 62lbs.

i recently recieved a picture of a pike caught on raindeer lake 44lbs came after what looks to be nother 5lb pike ate it right at the boat monster looking pike!

I think I know what your talking about and if I'm right it's been floating around the net for a while. I've heard it's "actually" from somewhere in europe.

55lbs 1oz is is the current record. I say that fish is 63 lbs.

To me that picture doesn't do the fish justice, I would say its not much more than 50 lbs. It doesn't even look like that..The pic that was floating around here last year the pike looked bigger..heres the pic

On another note, I would have like to have seen a pic of Dubuc's 46lb 2 oz ny record from the dead sea!

The fish is a 67.1 pound pike netted from Dannstadt Gravel Pit in Germany in 1983. It beats the IGFA record for hook and line by 12 pounds (the pike in the previous post). If you go to the pike angler's club of Great Britians web site they have a photo and list of some of the biggest pike ever caught (www.pacgb.co.uk)

i know infisherman published a book about pike quite a few years back and there was several pike in the 90lb class in there from europe. none of 'em had pics, as most of 'em were from waaay back in the day. gosh, i can't even imagine a fish of that calibre!
