Goose Pond
« on: Jan 16, 2020, 10:14 AM »
Anyone fish Goose Pond? White Perch in there? They draw the water level down for winter, not sure why!. Is that good for fishing or bad?

I've only iced fished there once. Had a couple of bass and couple yellow perch. Caught them from a boat on more than one occasion.

Goose pond is a large watershed they drain it down for spring runoffs. As far as ice fishing get the occasional white threw the ice lots of yellows some bass and pickerel. They are there I personally have not got into them  in winter summer different story

any size to the white's in there? Seems like smelt lakes typically produce better quality white fish

Just curious did you fish near the boat ramp or the bottom section near the dam part
