Looking to fish- anyone want company??
« on: Dec 10, 2019, 07:49 PM »
Can’t take it anymore- I want to fish. I’d like to venture up to safe ice in VT, coming out of western MA- up I91.  Not too too picky on species but would love to fish for trout.  Anyone want to fish?  I’m have some ideas for where I would find safe ice, but it’s always nicer to fish with someone.  I’m happy to bring great bourbon and Cuban cigars.  Let me know- willing to drive up to about a few hours.

Not sure if youre trying to be helpful or doing that thing that people do on the internet.. you know.. that thing they do.  Either way, I didn't realize that trout season was closed in VT ATM.  No biggie!  Doesn't change anything.  Id be just has happy to target suckers.

trout fishing in Vermont doesn't start until the 3rd saturday in January (18th). You can fish for bass, pike, perch, etc. on lot's of the smaller ponds though. Just look up the ponds in the book before you come.

South Bay Magog had ice before the warm up not sure of current condition.
I drove by 2 trout lakes Sat before the warm up. Both lakes had some open water and
are approx 100-125 acres in size. I suggest using the VT Fish & game website,
small shallow bodies of water at elevation and there might be fishable ice. Don't forget your chisel.
