crappie fishing in Missouri
« on: Jan 03, 2020, 03:24 PM »
I seem to recall stories of winter fishing for panfish in Missouri
from enclosed/heated docks.  Ice in this area seems to be at
least a couple of weeks away and this might be a way to scratch the fishin'
itch. Anyone done this??

fish on,

There is a "fish house" on my local lake with an aerator nearby to provide open water opportunities all year.  I have heard that people were catching perch and crappies off of it in the late fall, but I don't know if anyone has been there to try it since we've hit sub-freezing temperatures.  There are very little ice fishing opportunities so far around here, so I may be forced into that as well to get in a little jigging.
