Ice Shack Cleaning.
« on: Oct 24, 2019, 07:04 PM »
Well I couldn’t take it any longer I lowered the Otter down from the garage rafters. Every year it seems like more and more film gets built up on my windows. What do all of you use to clean these and restore them to the way they used to be? I’ve used invisible glass cleaner and a few others, it helps some but I can’t get it all. Also what do you use to clean the regular fabric of the shack? It’s not too bad but I want to keep it in as good of shape as possible.

For the window cleaning go to your local auto parts store.
Pick up some Meguiars mirror glaze cleaner and a bottle of Meguiars mirror glaze polish.
It is a specific plastic cleaner for lexan and other types of plastic I'm sure it would work good on a shanty window.
It remove scratches and really cleans up hard plastic windows.

use some pledge on the windows.  cheap and inexpensive and you prob have it laying around your house already.  works like a charm for me.

Don’t care about the windows. They gonna frost and be covered by the canvas flaps anyways. Lol :o

I discovered with the Eisenglass on my boat bimini/enclosure that if it clouds up, a heat gun can bring it back to clear again.

I used this on my jeep's soft top windows and it worked great!
The more I fish, the less I know about fishing...
Send me a PM if you'd like info about how I built my ice shack
