I use anti-fatigue mats.  They are available at Menard's or Harbor Freight.  Light, waterproof and effective.  20% off coupon at HF's web site.

Think about weight.  If you are manhauling, every little thing adds weight.  I use a couple of 12 x 12 inch carpet squares under my feet for insulation.

If you are using it to help keep your feet of the ice and warmer just leave your ice spikes on.

The anti-fatigue puzzle mats are extremely lightweight and do a good job of insulating.
These are the ones where the sides fit together like a puzzle and you attach them together to make as big as square as you need.

I used to have a large fold-able ply wood with styrofoam sandwiched between it and a sheet of plastic on the bottom....super heavy and effective, but the weight was a killer....would use it maybe if I was going to spend the night in the pop up. Now I just use the foam puzzle squares....I got these and they go on sale every now and then where you can get them for about $10 I think:

I use a doorway floor mat like they use to have in school.  Its about an inch thick and has a diamond pattern.  Keeps the feet off the ice and fits well in the bottom of my flipover.

Good ideas above. Question: how do they dry out?  I use 12 X 12 inch carpet squares. They get soaked during the day. I put over heater vent at night and they are dry by morning.

The mats that I use are neoprene/waterproof.

Those of you who use the interlocking foam mats (like myself) - anyone struggle with getting them interlocked late season once there is a solid layer of ice and slush that has thawed and re-froze several times? Almost impossible to get down to smooth ice and it always seems to be an uneven surface. Not an issue for short outings but when I spend the night it gets to be a pain!
