I placed an order on the 26th with Cabela’s, thinking their “2-day Free Shipping” meant I would have something by now. I guess it just means they’ll kick it out their door within 48-hours. Delivery may take a week, or more.

Don’t think so. Did you go to your account to make sure the order ain’t on back order? Check your card to see if it has been billed I don’t think they bill until your order has been shipped. Also sometimes the whole order won’t get shipped. Y’all probably already know this, Going back to my corner now.

Cabelas doesn't do anything fast.  Two day shipping means once they ship it , it will arrive in 2 days.  They sit on it for 2 days first...

No, it means 2 day shipping service will be used. There's still up to a week of handling before they ship it. There's also exclusions to their free 2 day shipping not all items count, those ship ground or that slow ups/usps hand over service. They don't count weekends, so if it didn't come yesterday, you'll get it monday probably.

I refuse to shop with cabelas/bps unless I HAVE to, the shipping is sooooo sloooowwww. Now that they are migrating my points together from cabelas to bass pro, it looks like I will have to use them before they expire (cabelas never expire, bps expire in 2 months after code is issued). I'll have to pick something I won't need for a month knowing their shipping service.

Call customer service. Tell them they can either eat the return shipping or you'll dispute it with your  credit card.

Yeah, my balance is Zero and my card sits here, debating on closing my account.  It is now a Capital One card and I can get 5% reward toward a new GM vehicle with a different Capital One card, that beats most credit card offers.   I have always hated BPS and tolerated Cabelas, but now I hate both.   A freaking Fleet Farm store has more ice fishing gear than both BPS and Cabelas combined (Council Bluffs/LaVista)

I feel the same way. Never shopped at BPS unless I wanted a specific BPS branded item, I did like cabelas because for a long while it was no tax to IA and they had reasonably fast shipping. I have not spent a dime since BPS bought them, I will have to in order to clean out my rewards money but that may be it. Might just pick up some BPS crankbaits or something.

They have been on their way down long before that. I've been down to only buying reloading supplies nobody else stocks if I need something right away.

Also  Cabelas's free shipping only applies if you spend a junk in most cases. Yes they are slow and I've noticed on some other companies from the time they give it to the carrier and the time it gets to you  just don't add up.

All my dealings with BP and CABELAS have gone fast and correct.  I ordered $165 worth of blades on monday had them wednesday afternoon.

Wrong! I have a Stradic Cl4 that qualified for the two day. It is what it is. Shipped in two days. Bought on the 26th, shipped by the 28th. It should be here tomorrow. They call their shipping method guaranteed express.

And that is exactly what 2 day shipping is... what is the point??? That they held your reel for an extra day during processing of cabelas/bass pro's busiest 3 weeks of the year (aside from black friday/xmas) during their spring classic sales? Shipped on the 28, two day delivery is monday the 4th.

As crazy as it sounds I have been really happy with the Gander outdoors that opened up by me after the old G. mountain closed. Literally had 3x or 4x the amount of ice fishing gear the local cabelas had. Really reasonable prices when you join their little good sam club too lol.
