Navionics on phone
« on: Feb 15, 2019, 07:59 PM »
Had not used my navionics on my phone for quite awhile and went to check it out. Said this version will not be receiving updates and to download the new hd app. So I did and it wants $21 for a navionics + subscription. I remember paying like $5
i think. What's the deal? Anybody else use navionics app and what are you paying?

I was able to get it free. It asked if I wanted the upgraded, but I did not.

It is a bit harder to get to now because it asks every time I start the app. I just click on not now and it works.

I use iBoating. Its free but a bit difficult to navigate and doesn't to seem to have a lot of the smaller lakes but I've never had much problems figuring out the smaller ones anyway. Good luck.

I bought the us and Canada boating version and it’s worth the 24 bucks for the year. You get a few extra features that are worth it. It’s been very handy to mark spots and track where you have been.

Ya it looks like I can get in mine. Looks like you can't even change the map to satellite view with the old version. Guess I'll spend the $20 and upgrade. Only use it a few times a year but if I make it to Saginaw this year I'll wish I had it.

I just upgraded navionics on my phone.
Last year I was bowfishing the flooded Kankakee river at night and got lost in the timber.
My Navionics app got me back to the river!
We had to work around high ground and downed trees but eventually made it out😢😢
