Haven't did much jigging as of now. Just purchased a 13 Fishing Wicked Ice, 28 in Medium Light. Gonna throw 4 lb Trilene Fluro.  Planning on throwing a snap swivel to quick change lures.  Should I run a leader? Should I not run a snap swivel?

Targeting Bass, Perch, Crappie, Pickerel (because they always bite)  Any Suggestions would be helpful

no leader and no snap swivel would be my suggestion. those snap swivels are a pain in the arse with cold fingers. I can tie a knot faster than messing with those things.

Since you're already running flouro, I wouldn't bother with the leader.  I only run a leader becaause I use braid on all of my jigging rods.  I only use a snap on jigging baits.  For smaller tungsten, I tie direct.

Snaps(w/o swivel) are good for vertical hanging baits ..can impart some action ..a ball bearing swivel tied 12-18 inches above a horizontal jig on a leader can reduce some lure spin .

I recently experimented with an in-line reel and I really like it. No more spinning jigs/lures. I caught more yellow perch than anytime this season. With my spinning gear, especially with non-new mono or fluoro, I would watch my lure spinning in circles as far down as I could see.
