Kevin, I thought maybe we would be blessed by your presence on Saturday??
80% of Americans are unhappy with the direction our once great Country is heading. Yet 80% of Americans insist on buying blue jeans that were made in China, coffee filters that were made in Taiwan and anything else that was made anywhere but here........wonder if there might be a connection?

Today was my last day on the ice for this year. We had 4+" of ice,
with the warm temp and wind the ice was getting soft so we quit for the
year. Had a good winter, some great days and some not so good.
Everyone have a safe and enjoyable summer.

hey fred, on there dcnr web site,,,,  ranger joe says the ice at jean is 2 inches with open shore line.  once again i am sure is is covering his own $$$.   but the ice cannot really be much thicker then that.  3-4 sloppy stuff.

Jean was 90% open as of yesterday. Hard to believe we lost the 4-7" that me and PP stood on Monday so quickly but with temps in the 70s and then the rain it just couldn't handle it. Only 8-9 months till it'll be back and in the meantime there's plenty of open water fishing to be had.

sounds like jean is done 2-3 weeks early this year.  time to break out the long rods, waders, boats, coolers, and enjoy the spring spawn, summer bite, and the fall feeding frenzy, then wait for ice.  :o :o
