Whitesand reservoir by Theodore
« on: Dec 29, 2018, 08:12 PM »
I am heading to Stugis/Preeceville area this weekend and my brother in-law wants to head out to the reservoir.  Anybody have any tips/advice or ice/snow conditions?

I was out there for a drive a week and a half ago. The east end has a few shacks and enough ice to support at car. Not sure about the fishing.

Was out at the dam a few days ago. 18-22 inches of consistent ice from the dam to the cabins. Caught 4 walleye and 3 pike in 5 hours. Walleye were caught from 3 to 5 pm. Not a bit or mark on the flasher after 5. Fish were caught in 15 to 18 fow. All bit on a forage minnow with minnow head jigging nothing on the dead stick.

We were out at Good Spirit on the 31st. Marking a lot of fish and catching a few of them too.

Bigburk,

How did you do today? Any better then the last couple days? Have you been fishing the north or closer to the dam side?

We are gonna be out tomorrow, I guess there will be a gaggle of us, maybe we will run into you guys... I think we are gonna be heading towards the old sunken road.  I hope we all have better luck tomorrow! Maybe with the cloud cover and snow coming it will activate the fish!

Have any of you guys ever tried out from the Whitesand regional Park? :-\

I tried there a few years ago and caught a pike or two, but, had quite a few perch and even a few walleye around me most of the time I was out.
Neat to see, even if they didn't bite. :)

I was out off the boat launch, in the middle, near the old river channel.

WW
