If at first you do not succeed try again
« on: Jan 25, 2019, 09:11 AM »
First day out this season was a bust.  Out on Long Point with R&R Outdoors.  Jimmy runs a great operation good clean huts but the fish were not there.  Two of us caught 9 perch 1 bullhead for the day.  Tried everything to no luck.
Yesterday back again to see if our luck changed.  Went home with 40 nice perch 1 22 in pike.  Released counless dinks and lost 1 pike at the hole.  Morning slow lots of action in the afternoon.  Most caught on a minnow though late aft caught a few on a perchtalker and a slabgrabber.  Jigging for the rest of the day was uneventfull.  Weather changed for the better i guess.  Ice 8 inches little snow lots of slush with the warmer temp.  Water was murky making it hard to see bottom wete in 5.5 ft.
