It amazes me on how many different types of sleds people build or set up to move their equipment onto the ice

super small skis and 2 milkcrates going vertical. On the side of the top crate  there's a perfect groove for aluminum tent poles that carry the auger. In the end of that pole more aluminum tent poles that round off and can be used in 360 degrees around the crates as well as hold the rods in place. Add a couple holes in one crate for a folding mini table that can hold stove, lantern or other stuff and it is removeable as well as all other pieces except the 2 poles strapped in the groove. There was a pic of it on IS one year but I don't know where it is. It's awesome and functional.  otherwise a small flipover no more bucket and auger carrying oh maybe once in a while.

Mostly use a Jet sled because its light and can carry a lot of equipment. Have a bunch of homemades I use with bigger group meet-ups!

first thing I thought of with the tittle was my 550LT tundra......or my 1970 olympic skidoo...I use shapell XXL Jet sleds, I drilled holes around the top lip and threaded with rope, so I can bungee to any point. I use the adjustable lenght flat bungees from wallmart perfect strap size every time :-). Usually two sleds sometimes 3 sleds depending on amount of gear going out in tandem....:-)
Its all fun and games until someone loses a walleye.......

I used to use a homemade wooden box with downhill skis on the bottom. Now i use the wooden box inside one of my jet sleds and I find it goes better in the snow and I like having the box to keep everything out of the weather in the jet sled.

For now this sled. My brother is borrowing my other sled which I like better, like a jet sled but isn't.

My buddy happens to enjoy the sled towing game.  14 of us went out on this ride to laker land:
