I'm by no means an expert on it, but I'll take a stab. I've only fished it twice, I accessed from a boatlaunch that is on the north shore in Newell Cove. I think there is access at the state park on the south side of the lake but I've never been there myself. There are a number of big inlets to the lake, and places where the lake necks down real narrow so careful about ice thickness in those areas, but on foot they are hard to reach anyway.
