Lake Macatawa
« on: Jan 04, 2018, 09:22 AM »
I thought I saw someone post about being out on Lake Mac last weekend.  Has anyone been out recently?  I'm concerned with the amount of snow we've received the last week or so.  Close enough to check before the weekend, just thought I'd see if anyone here had first hand knowledge.

Shanties at boatwerks and seen one at obi on Tuesday. I might try obi today but rather fish where I know I will catch something

Thanks, matt93, did you make it out?  Looks like I might give it a shot this weekend.  Tight Lines!

Hey I just moved to Holland. Is Macatawa worth my time because as it goes for summertime fishing it leaves a lot to be desired? Do guys mostly target Perch?

We fish panfish by boatworks restaurant and east along the verplanke docks. Perch aware best on West end of lake. Pike and walleye  are hard to come by because of the abundance of bait fish but have been caught. Musky also.

Went out to Boatwerks last night. Fish in every hole I checked but only a few bites. Tried everything but minnows because I had none. Nice afternoon. Thanks for the help.

Is it worth the time to go out from obi or by the stone buoy, or should I go forth and venture out on Muskegon? Just curious, my gut tells me Muskegon cause out on mac only end up with about 15 to 18 and Muskegon seems to be better size and more abundance. Any advice would be greatly appreciated thx
